|
The port of Hamburg lost around 30 million t (or 21.4%) of its throughput in 2009 vis-à-vis 2008, reporting a maritime cargo handling volume of 110 million t. The port believes that there will be an improvement in 2010, when the port economy is expected to grow modestly. Particularly the People's Republic of China, the port's most important foreign trade relation, is expected to provide the hub with additional goods flows, thanks to an improvement in the country's export business. |
